About

I’m a  mom, teacher, creator, and lifelong learner with a passion for early childhood education. I’ve been working with children and families since 1992, teaching everything from Preschool to 3rd grade. I love getting messy, creating art, and seeing the looks on my students’ faces when they get excited about something new in the classroom, make a discovery, or build something incredible.

Parenting is hard. So is teaching! And there is so little time to do it all! I’ve learned a few tips and tricks and time savers along the way. I’ll share some of my experiences and hope they serve to help you!

My goal here is to offer ideas to help you connect with your children or students in a fun, engaging, playful way and maybe reduce some stress and find some joy along the way.

On the blog I share creative activities that make learning fun, printables for Preschool through 2nd grade, gift guides and book recommendations, and ideas that work for both families and educators.

My philosophy is simple: we’re all doing the best we can. We don’t have to get everything perfect. We just need to lead with kindness, curiosity, and a willingness to keep learning — right alongside our kids.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you find fresh ideas to bring into your classroom or home. Start by browsing my free resources, or head to the blog for ideas you can use today.

Sharks fascinate me and scare me a little too!

I’ve probably watched Jaws 8,256,341 times and I still cover my eyes when Brody chums the water and the shark pops up!

I do not like to exercise (I think I might be allergic)

I listen to all kinds of music but most people would be surprised to learn that I blast Five Finger Death Punch every now and then.

The mountains are my happy place.  I love them. Mountains have a way of calming my mind.

I’m on a quest to find the perfect mountains. Let me know if you have a recommendation of where I should visit!
